LOWELL--Helen Virginia (Duncan) Lowe, 87, a resident of Lowell for many years, most recently of Chelmsford, died Thursday evening in Lowell.
Born in Lowell on May 15, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Hattie A. (Perkins) Duncan. She was educated in the Lowell schools and a graduate of Lowell Commercial College.
Mrs. Lowe worked as a secretary for Caddell and Byers Insurance Agency for 35 years, retiring in 1991. She was an active member of the First United Baptist Church of Lowell serving on various boards namely the Trustees, Christian Education and Deaconate and a member of the Sigma Gamma Club of the Church. Mrs. Lowe was also a member of the Puritan Chapter #54 Order of Eastern Star and a volunteer at Lowell General Hospital.
She is survived by a son: Jeffrey Duncan Lowe, of Chelmsford; and several cousins.
