Mrs. Dorothy R. (Rheaume) LeBlanc, beloved wife of Gerard P. “Gerry” Leblanc, died at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, April 6, 2006. She was 73 years old.
Mrs. LeBlanc was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on December 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Francis and Jeannette (Fontaine) Rheaume.
Dorothy enjoyed ballroom dancing, singing, music and baking in her spare time. She was also an avid member of the Main Historical Society and enjoyed many summer’s in Maine as well as boating with her beloved family.
Besides her beloved husband, Gerard, she will be sorely missed by her three daughters Cheryl LeBlanc of Dracut, Nancy and her husband Harry Garabedian of Methuen and Lisa and her husband Michael Kahlke of Newfields, New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Erik, Andrea, Seth, Ethan and Adam; one great-grandson, Cameron; one sister, Lorraine Casey; two brothers, Ronald and Joseph “Richard” Rheaume and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Michael Church, North Andover, Monday, April 10, 2006, at 1 PM. Many relatives and friends attended. Calling hours were in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Sunday, April 9, 2006 from 4 to 8 PM. Burial was held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, North Tewksbury. Donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the La Salette Shrine, P.O. Box 860, Altamont, New York 12009-0680.
