Benvinda Oliveira Ribeiro (86) of Brockton died November 6th at home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Antonio Ribeiro.
She was born in Mosteiros, Fogo, Cabo Verde daughter of the late Jose Dias Oliveira and Maria Monteiro. Benvinda was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and loved to clean, cook and socialize with family and friends. She was known as a very loving, honest and caring woman.
In addition to her husband she is survived by 13 children, Ludjeiro Oliveira of Cape Verde, Leopurdina Oliveira of Portugal, Eugenia Oliveira, Ines Oliveira, Estela Oliveira, Maria Oliveira, Benvindo Oliveira, Luiza Oliveira, Luis Oliveira and Ernestina Oliveira, Evete Oliveira all of Brockton, Pedro Ribeiro of New Bedford and Olga Ribeiro of Wrentham, (mother of the late Virginia, Oliveira and Jose Oliveira), 76 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Monday November 15th from 5-9 pm. Services in the Funeral Home Tuesday Morning November 16th at 9:30 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10:30 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
