In Taunton, John Plentus, Age 69, passed away at his home unexpectedly on November 4, 2021. John was the son of the late John & Harriot (Nadeau) Plentus. John had resided in Taunton all his life. He was a graduate of Taunton High School and also Bristol Community College in Fall River.
John served his country while in the U.S. Air Force. He was a former employee of Sears & Roebuck & Company in the old Taunton Mall. John enjoyed hiking, walking the Cape Cod Canal and dining out with his cousin Jane Prunier and husband Ernst Dessaules of Newport, RI. He was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a communicant of Holy Family Church in East Taunton.
John was preceded in death by his brother David Plentus, and is survived by several cousins and his Aunt Jane Prunier of Newport, RI.
A mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in East Taunton on Saturday, November 13th at 11am. Burial will be private and visitation is kindly omitted. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
