FALL RIVER - Lucy Silva, 98, of Oak Grove Ave., formerly of Valentine St. Fall River, died Saturday in Fall River at the Crawford Skilled Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Jose C. Arruda. She is survived by 1 Son: Joseph F. Arruda of Fall River, 2 Daughters: Maria T. Viveiros of Fall River and Laura Viveiros of Fall River,
18 Grandchildren, 33 Great-grandchildren, 8 Great-great grandchildren, and Several Nieces & Nephews. She was the mother of the late Vincent F. Silva. She was the sister of the late Jose Silva, Georgianna Reis, Maria da Conceicao John Perreira Michael, Maria dos Anjos Carvalho, and Deolinda Antonio Michael
Born in Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Vincent F. Silva and the late Maria E. (Camara) Silva. She had been a resident of Fall River since 1969. She was a homemaker at home. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church.
Her Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 North Main St. on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Michael Church Essex St. at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday 4:00–9:00 P.M.
