Obituary

Fall River - On November 2nd, 2021, Charles Jacintho passed peacefully from this world into the next, following a happy life of 93 years.

The son of the late Frank and Corbina Jacintho, Charlie was a lifelong New Bedford resident. A US Army veteran and avid sports fan, he was fiercely loyal to both his family and the Red Sox. Charlie married Lydia Fernandes and, together they shared 67 years of marital bliss, a couple known for both their prowess for waltzing and their skills at the card table. Charlie worked for many years at the family business Perfection Brands and later at Moby Dick Specialties. Outside of work, he enjoyed a rich life and could be found quahogging, fishing, taking long walks, or sitting and peacefully watching the ocean and the seagulls. Convivial and social, he easily made friends with everyone who crossed his path.

His legacy is carried on by his loving wife Lydia, his children, Debra Lambalot and Corbina Foucart along with her husband Bruce, his four grandchildren Melissa, Jeremy, Corbin, and Abigail, and his great-grandchildren Ellah and Elijah. He will be dearly missed.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 7th from 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M at Perry Funeral Home in New Bedford. His funeral service will take place on Monday, November 8th beginning in the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. and followed by Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church in South Dartmouth at 11:00 AM. Cremation will follow.
