Sylvester L. Coren (58) of Brockton died November 1st at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Wanda (Franklin) Coren of Fall River.
He was born in Greenville, Mississippi son of Leron Coren Jr. of Brockton and the late Minnie Lee (Daniels) Coren. Sylvester was in the transportation business as a driver and was a member of the Twelfth Baptist Church in Roxbury. He loved the sport of basketball.
In addition to his wife and father he is survived by 2 sons, Lewis Franklin of Brockton and Jaden Coren of Boston, 2 daughters, Vanessa and Latershia Franklin both of Fall River, his sister Brenda Coren of Brockton, (brother of the late Leron Coren III), 4 grandchildren, Jaleysia, Roman, Sage and Kyara, his god sister Erricka Smith of Roslindale, his god brother Alfred Allen of Roxbury, 2 aunts, Vicky Smith and Luclle White, 2 uncles, Minister Joseph Smith and Jeffery Smith, 4 nieces, Monique, Reynne, Samone and Ebony, a great niece Makayla and many other family members and friends.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday November 12th at 9 am. Followed by Services at 10 am. Cremation to follow.
