Obituary

Unique Michael Poole, a resident of Brockton, Ma died unexpectedly on October 30, 2021.

Unique was born on November 3, 1994. Ever since graduating Brockton High School Unique gravitated to the field of healthcare. He had a passion for taking care of people. Unique was a momma's boy and devoted son. At a very young age, when his mother needed a caretaker, he took on the role of caring for her without a second thought. Unique’s heart was filled with love for everyone that crossed his path. Unique had an undeniable love for family. Real true friends of Unique instantly felt that family love, because he had such a big heart. He will be remembered by those he loved for saying “Love you” with a huge smile full of bright white teeth and a swift head turn to the side.

Unique was known as Nique Nique to his closest friends and family. He enjoyed life and truly lived life to the fullest. He was the life of every large or small party, our huge family cookouts, and even the smallest gatherings with friends and/or relatives. He was outgoing, friendly, bubbly, and lovable. Unique was a young soul but believe it or not he was a historian. He would educate anyone willing to listen about Chinese history, American history, Women's rights, and most of all LGBTQ rights.

Unique had a passion for the arts. Unique wrote poetry and he would listen to soulful music on full blast by artists such as Melanie Martinez, Baby Rosa, Lauryn Hill and/or Brandy. Unique let everyone know that he felt music in his soul, because he would sing at the top of his lungs and dance like no one was watching. He loved horror movies. His favorite show of all time was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He used to brag about how Buffy was his other mom.

Unique was very photogenic. If you scroll through his social media pictures you will see he was an undeniably handsome model. His photos did not just have a pretty face and athletic body, but they told a story of passion, power, love, culture, and real life. Unique was loved by many and will continue to be our shining star.

Unique is survived by his mother Sharon J Tagger of Brockton, Ma, and father Michael B. Poole (Tonya M. Poole) of Providence, RI, his little big twin brother Malique T. Poole of Brockton, Ma, his sisters Janelle Hurley of Pittsburg, Pa and Mikayla D. Poole of Providence, RI and his paternal grandmother Celeste O. Poole of Durham, North Carolina. Additionally he leaves behind his Auntie Dot, who is like his second mom, his very best friend and cousin September Thomas both of Brockton, Ma, and a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother Ida Jeanette “Bigma'' Tagger and grandfather Wilbur “Sonny” Jones, paternal grandfather Joe Vowdell and brother Micheal B. Poole, Jr.
