R. Marie (Altieri) Guaraldi, age 92 of Brockton, passed away on October 29, 2021 at her home under the care of her loving family. Marie was the devoted wife of Eddie Guaraldi for over 71 years. Marie was born and raised in Brockton, the daughter of the late Saverio and Essilia (Cappiello) Altieri. She was a lifelong resident of the city and was a 1947 graduate of Brockton High School.
Marie worked for over 44 years with her husband at their family-owned store Eddie & Marie Guaraldi’s Community Television.
Marie enjoyed cooking, traveling, dancing, bowling, watching football and especially cherished time with her family. She will be remembered as a strong and devoted woman with beautiful blue eyes.
In addition to her husband Eddie, Marie is survived by her sons E. Peter Guaraldi, Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Lakeville and John J. Guaraldi and his wife, Claudinne, of Miramar, FL, and her grandson Peter J. Guaraldi and his wife, Holly, of Babylon, NY. She was the sister of Michael Altieri and his late wife, Lorraine, of Estoro, FL; Richard Altieri and his wife, Sheryl, of Bluffton, SC; and the late Thomas Altieri, who is survived by his wife, Terry, and their son, Tommy, of Whitman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3 from 8:30 – 10 a.m. at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St., Brockton. Funeral Mass will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30 a.m. and burial in Calvary Cemetery immediately after.
