New Bedford-Jose Pacheco died April 13, 2006 at Southeast Massachusetts Health & Rehab. He was the husband of the late Maria deLourdes (Vieira) Pacheco. He was the father of Manuel V. Pacheco of New Bedford, MA. and Jose V. Pacheco of New Mexico. He was the grandfather of Sonia Calheta, Kylene Pacheco, Jose Pacheco, and Dorothy Pereira all of New Bedford. He was the brother of Amelia Medeiros, Conceicao Lima, Lidia Pacheco, Augusto Pacheco, all of New Bedford, and Jaime Pacheco of Fayal. He was also survived by 5 Great-grandchildren and several nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Pacheco was the son of the late Jose and Amelia (Correia) Pacheco. He was born in Horta, Fayal, Azores and lived in this area since 1969. He was a loom fixer at Berkshire Hathaway prior to his retirement.
In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated.
