WORCESTER___Maria do Carmo Goncalves Anderson, 63, of Worcester, died peacefully with family by her side on Friday October 29, 2021 in the comfort of her home.
To her family and friends she was known as Carmen, Du or Dudu.
Maria leaves her husband, Ralph Anderson, her sister, Maria das Gracas Goncalves Ferreira of Lisbon, Portugal and cousins, nieces and nephews. Maria was born in Brazil, a daughter of the late Joao Candido and Efigenia dos Santos Goncalves and has lived in Massachusetts for 23 years.
Maria was also predeceased by her brother Vivaldino dos Santos Goncalves.
Maria worked as a Home Health Aid for several years.
She loved crafts – especially if it involved sewing, gardening and being with friends and family.
Calling hours for Maria will be held on Wednesday November 3, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Dirsa – Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton Street. Maria’s funeral service will be on Thursday November 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be held in Cemiterio Memorial Parque Paulista, Embu das Artes, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
