Obituary

DEDHAM: Adele Cossin Sobel, 92, entered into rest on October 27, 2021.
She was born in Boston in 1928 the daughter of the late Frank Cossin and Menya (Guz) Cossin.
Adele was the wife of the late Herbert Stanley Sobel who died on July 10, 2008. Mother of Susan Sobel Kishon and her husband Dr. Eyal Kishon of Herzliya, Israel and Dr. Erik Cossin Sobel and his wife Debra Iles of Newton. Sister of the late Judith Cossin Berkman. Also survived by four grandchildren and five nieces.
Adele was a resident of Wayland for over 60 years before moving to Dedham. She was a graduate of Chelsea High School, received her undergraduate degree from Radcliffe College and her Masters Degree in Social Work from Simmons College. She was a dedicated social worker with Framingham Counseling Associates. She was a compassionate therapist and ardent supporter of women’s rights. She loved her family, literature, word play, local history and the writings of Henry David Thoreau.
Graveside services will be private for her family.
