Mother Dessie Ree Heisser of 1799 Center Groton Road, Ledyard, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 15, 2006.
She was born in Philadelphia Mississippi January 16, 1926 to John Henry and Indiana Overstreet Cooper. Mother Heisser spent the earlier part of her life in Memphis TN. She later moved to CT in 1964.
She married Melvin Heisser of Ledyard, CT.
Mother was a longtime member of New Life Church where she was a faithful worker, church mother and loving friend.
Mother possessed an unshakable faith and love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She demonstrated this love in the way she lived her life. She was a shining reflection of the love of Christ to all who knew her.
Mother enjoyed family, her friends, cooking, feeding people, crafts and gardening.
Mother Heisser was predeceased by her parents and twelve brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband Melvin Heisser, her daughter and son-in-law Pat and Keith Frame of Bolton CT and two grandchildren, Amanda and Alexis Frame. She is also survived by her sister, Flossie Jackson of Jackson Mississippi and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 6:00pm at New Life Church, 1729 Center Groton Road, Ledyard. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
