Billie Jean (Pate) Constantakos, 82, of Drozdyk Drive, Groton, formerly of North Stonington, passed away Friday at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Constantakos was born in New Orleans, LA. on January 25, 1924 the daughter of William and Lennie (Tyson) Pate.
She was married to Charles Constantakos in Portland, ME in 1939. Together, they owned and operated Ye Olde Spirit Shop in Old Mystic for over 26 years prior to retiring in 1983. Mr. Constantakos died May 21, 1995.
Mrs. Constantakos is survived by her sons, Charles D. Constantakos and his wife Kitty of Groton, and William Constantakos and his wife Deborah of Groton; 3 grandchildren, Michael Douglas Constantakos, Lindsay Constantakos, and Charles “C.T. Constantakos.
Her family will gather privately for services. There are no visiting hours. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
