Harvey Castro Rosado, age 73, passed away on Oct. 25, 2021 at home. He was born on March 9, 1948 in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Bienvenido Castro and Fidencia Rosado. Harvey served in the United States Army and the National Guard and was a Vietnam Veteran. He later worked as a machine operator for Sunoco Products for many years before he retired. Harvey was a member of the American Legion Post 325 in Holyoke. He is survived by his loving wife Carmen I. Feliciano Castro Rosado of Springfield; his son Harvey Castro; 2 daughters, Lynda Castro and Veronica Castro; 1 brother Miguel Castro of Kentucky; 4 sisters, Gladys Castro, Alice Castro, Belma Castro and Gloria Castro; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and one great grandchild on their way. He also leaves his beloved dogs Dana and LaLa. He is predeceased by his brother Bienvenido Castro and his sister Carmen Castro. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Funeral will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM followed by burial in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.
