TEWKSBURY - Lillian E. (Harrington) Casey, 84, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 43 years,
died Friday evening, April 14th at the home of her daughter while surrounded by her beloved
family, after a brief period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Francis X. “Frank”
Casey, who died in 1993.
She was born in East Boston, on March 21, 1922, a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Dinan)
Harrington. She was raised in Revere, but had lived in Tewksbury since 1963, where she was a
communicant of St. William’s Church.
She was fondly described by her family as having devoted her life to her family.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen Giannattasio and her husband Michael of
Tewksbury; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Timothy Casey and his wife Susan (Forrest) of
Valley Forge, PA, Thomas Casey of Lowell, and Edward “Ted” Casey of Aliso Viejo, CA; four
grandchildren, Gayle Liber of Avon, OH, Jennifer Lindo of Swansea, Michael and Kevin
Giannattasio of Tewksbury; and six great grandchildren, Jack, Brooke, and Abigail Liber, Nicole,
and Caroline Casey, and Jacob Lindo.
She was also sister of the late Frances Hazel, Agnes Toomey, Alice Fisher, and Evelyn Bontempo.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, April 18, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Interment
was in St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. Memorials to the American
Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, will be appreciated.
