Obituary

Loi Huu Ha, 34, of Worcester, died Thursday, October 21st in UMass Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his family. He leaves his mother, Re Nguyen of Worcester; his siblings and their spouses, Thao Ha of Vietnam, Duc Ha of Vietnam, Danh Ha and Xi of Worcester, Trang Ha of Worcester, Ly Ha and Dan of Marlborough, Nghiep Ha and Trinh of Worcester, Trinh Ha and Thanh of Worcester, Dao Ha and Binh of San Jose, CA, Hoa Ha and Tam of Worcester and Binh Ha and Tho of Malden; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was loved by so many and they considered him as a brother.
He was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam the son of Nghia Huu Ha and emigrated to the United States in 1995 at the age of 7. Loi graduated from Becker College with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and was a police officer at UMass Memorial Hospital – Memorial Campus for 5 years. Mr. Ha was a proud Army veteran serving in Iraq. Loi was spontaneous and was always the light of the party. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, laughing but most of all he enjoyed spending time at the beach. Loi was a son, brother, uncle, best friend and hero who will be deeply missed.
Calling hours are Thursday, October 28th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, October 29th from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Face masks will be required in the funeral home. His funeral is Saturday, October 30th with a service starting at 8:00 a.m. in the funeral home burial with Military Honors will follow in Hope Cemetery.
