Janette R. (Kilian) Gion, died peacefully October 21, 2021, at Artis Senior Living, Branford Ct., with her family at her side. Janette was born in Webster MA, daughter of the late Oscar and Emma (Reich) Kilian. She is survived by her two daughters, Charlene G. Blake and Kimberly J. Gowrie and her husband Timothy, two grandchildren, Bryan C. Blake and his wife Abby, Elizabeth B. Galvin and her husband Dustin. Her sister Brenda Lukasek, and nieces and nephews. She also had four great grandchildren, Charlotte and Oliver Blake and Isabelle and Adelyn Galvin. Predeceasing Janette was her husband Charles G. Gion, her son-in-law Robert F. Blake, her siblings, Oscar Kilian Jr., Albert Kilian, Milton Kilian, Margaret Whitehouse and Emma Schremser.
Janette grew up in Webster, graduating from Bartlett High School. She moved to Thompson CT and lived there for over 60 years. She worked as a production scheduler at Stevens Linen, until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and being active at her church. Janette enjoyed baking and sharing her delicious creations with her friends and family. Janette was a caring and loving person, always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be missed by all that had the opportunity to know her.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30am, on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, 70 Main St., Oxford MA. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Webster. Calling hours are Thursday from 10:00-11:00am., at Robert Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St., Webster MA, prior to the church service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Janette’s memory to Webster-Dudley Food Share, 4 Church St., #2, Webster, MA 01570 .
