John “Jack” Clawson, age 85, of Weymouth passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021. Jack was born and raised in Weymouth where he graduated from Weymouth High in 1954. He met his beloved wife, Mary, while working at the Quincy Shipyard. Jack owned and operated A and A Auto Radiator in Weymouth for over 20 years.
In retirement Jack enjoyed many trips to Cape Cod, New Hampshire, Aruba, and Bermuda. He also enjoyed dancing with his wife Mary, gardening, playing golf, and working on old cars. Jack was a good friend of Bill W.
Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Clawson (Young). He is survived by his loving children Susan Clawson and her partner Robert LaRosa of Braintree, John Clawson and his wife Karen of Buzzard’s Bay, and Christina Haas and her husband Joel of Hanson, and his cherished grandchildren Andrea Slowey, Steven Clawson, Erica Haas, Matthew Haas, and Angela Haas.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Jack on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 4-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral home Friday morning for a Celebration of Life at 9am prior to the funeral mass which will take place at 10am in the Sacred Heart Church located in Weymouth-Braintree landing. Interment will immediately follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at 3 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
