Obituary

Mary Patricia (Gardner) Hagan, 97, of Franklin died peacefully on October 18 in the Serenity Hill Nursing Home in Wrentham. She was the wife of the late James J. Hagan who died in 2007.

Born in Worcester, June 30, 1924, the daughter of the late Harry G. and Delia F. (Reardon) Hagan. Mrs. Hagan was born in Worcester and later moved to Cambridge. She graduated from Cambridge Latin High School and was employed by the Cambridge school department until her marriage when she moved to Franklin.

Mary had been an administrative assistant at Tri County High School in Franklin for many years before retiring.

Mary was an active member of the Franklin Senior Center for over 30 years.

She enjoyed painting, doing puzzles, reading, her many pets and especially being with her grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Harry Hagan and James Hagan.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Sarah Hagan of Austin, Texas and Alexander Hagan of Franklin.

She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law Lynn Hagan of Taunton and very special friends Nancy Carney and Kay Wheelock.

She also had many precious nieces and nephews and their families.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 23, in St. Joseph Church, Medway at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00-12:30 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Baypath Humane Society, 500 Legacy Farms North, Hopkinton, MA 01748.
