Obituary

Robert A. "Bobby" Drago, a 54 year resident of Everett and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Winchester Hospital. He was 68 years of age.

Bobby was born in Boston on January 26, 1953, a son of the late Gaetano Drago and Linda (Dello Russo) Drago. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1970. Bobby enlisted into the United States Air Force on February 1, 1971 and served his country faithfully and with courage during the Vietnam Conflict. He was honorably discharged on January 31, 1975 with the rank of Sergeant. Bobby began working for the United States Postal Service in 1975, and retired as a Post Office Clerk following 35 years of dedicated employment to his country. Bobby enjoyed watching hockey, skating and playing ball hockey in his spare time. Family was paramount in Bobby's life and he cherished the special moments that he spent with his 4 girls, his wife, 2 daughters and his sister and later with their families, always looking forward to the quality moments he shared with his 3 grandchildren and was so very proud of their accomplishments.

Bobby is the beloved husband of 40 years to Janet D. (Emory) Drago. He is the devoted father of Tina Mann and her husband Scott and Michelle Browning and her husband John. He is the loving Papa to Ryan, Nicole and Gianna. He is the beloved brother of Debbie Drago Laudenslager and her husband Tom Laudenslager and Patricia Drago Paone. He is the loving Uncle Bobby to Lisa Laudenslager, Tiffany Laudenslager, Stefani Ferullo and her husband Anthony and Great-Uncle Papa to Evan, Cameron and Jackson. He is also lovingly survived by his many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bobby's Funeral Services and burial at the Veteran's Administration National Cemetery in Bourne will be private.
