Lora Denise Fulp Efaw, M.D., 56, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Hank House officiating. A eulogy will be given by Dr. Efaw’s brother, Carl G. Fulp, III. Dr. Efaw will be laid to rest on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Cecil with the Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 15, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Dr. Efaw’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Born December 30, 1964, in Valdosta, Dr. Efaw was the daughter of Patricia Hancock Fulp of Nashville and the late Carl “Grover” Fulp, Jr. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, James Efaw. Dr. Efaw was a retired family physician and Doctor of Integrative Holistic Medicine. She was a member of Oasis Family Church in Tifton and she was a veteran of the United States Navy. She was the author of the book, “Don’t Set Limits on God”.
In addition to her mother, Dr. Efaw is survived by her husband, Chris Efaw of Tifton; two daughters, Jordan Denise Efaw and Olivia Dianne Efaw, both of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Laura Fulp of Hahira; one sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Jeff Casteel of Riceville, Tennessee; her mother-in-law, Tonie Efaw of Royal Oak, Michigan; two sisters-in-law, Karen Efaw of Hazel Park, Michigan and Dawn Eckley and her husband, Eric of Saint Clair Shores, Michigan; and numerous nieces
