Dante Cobuccio, 93, of Somerville, Massachusetts, died on October 9th, 2021 in the arms of his beloved wife Anna Rossetti Cobuccio and surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Mirabella Eclano, Avellino, Italy, he was the son of the late Michele and Clementina (Terrazzano) Cobuccio. Dante immigrated to the U.S. in 1961 and settled in Somerville, where he worked in construction. He was a proud member of Local 22.
Dante enjoyed Sunday dinners with the entire family sitting around the table. He was proud of his homemade wine, was an avid gardener with three impressive vegetable gardens, and loved to forage for mushrooms. Dante was a kind and generous father, and a friend to all. He adored cuddles with his cocker spaniel, Stellina
Dante was the beloved husband of Anna (Rossetti) Cobuccio, and the devoted father of Michael Cobuccio of Merrimack, New Hampshire and his late wife Laureen, Annamaria Paone and her husband Peter of North Reading, Tina Cobuccio of Medford, and Daniela Fagotti and her husband Paolo of Florence, Italy. He was the loving grandfather of Michael Jr., Cristian, Julian, Sofia, Luca and Dante, and the dear brother of Giosuè Cobuccio and his wife Lidia of Canberra, Australia, the late Pasquale Cobuccio and his surviving wife Fiorita, and the late Giuseppina and Alessandrina. Dante is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 15th from 4 PM through 8 PM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home on Saturday, October 16th at 9 AM, followed by a mass celebrated in St. Benedict Church, 25 Arlington St, Somerville, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Dante’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
