Obituary

Mary E. Lambert, 74, a longtime resident of Whitman, died Sunday October 10 after a period of failing health.

Born in Boston, raised in Abington, she was the daughter of late Thomas and Elizabeth (Dimond) Lambert.

Mary was a retired English and Latin teacher who spent her career at Rockland High School.

She loved working in her gardens, floral and vegetable, often sharing the bounty with neighbors and friends. She had enjoyed many cruises over the years with friends and family members.

Mary is survived by her sister Regina M. Gove and brother-in-law David Gove of Rockland and countless nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her longtime friend Esther Fournier, brothers Peter Lambert and Thomas Lambert.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Friday October 22 from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
