Obituary

Gisela (Mimler) Bouchard, 74, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Robert G. Bouchard, they were married for 57 years.

Born in Onolzheim, Germany, daughter of the late Leopold and Aloisia (Klos) Mimler, she had lived in Westport since 1972. Prior to retirement, she had worked for UMass Dartmouth for many years. Mrs. Bouchard was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport and was a member of the German American Club of Bristol County and the Westport Walking Club. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, going to the beach and gardening, walking through her yard was like walking through a park. She loved spending time with her family in Palm Bay, FL. Over the years she made many return visits to see her family in Germany.

Including her husband, she is survived by a son: Kenneth R. Bouchard and his wife Tammy of Warren, RI; a daughter: Nicole E. Murray and her husband Kevin of Westport; a brother: Walter Mimler of Germany; 3 grandchildren: Monique, Michael and Olivia; 3 great grandchildren: Ana, Ando and Ari; and several nieces and nephews.

She was sister of the late Dieter Mimler.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, October 15, 2021 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church at 10:00 A.M.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 - 7 P.M.

Interment will be private.
