Mr. Robert L. Whidden, 78, passed away peacefully and with loved ones present on October 2, 2021, at the Bear Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Stoneham, MA. He was the son of the late Robert and Phyllis (Patch) Whidden.
Robert was born on October 10. 1942 in Beverly, MA. He graduated from Beverly High School and Harvard University. Much of his professional career was spent in the area of hospital administration, healthcare consulting and real estate. Robert played polo as a young man and throughout his life remained an avid fan enjoying matches locally. He also enjoyed traveling; particularly to the islands of Bermuda and Nantucket, European trips and travels throughout New England.
Married just shy of 50 years, Robert is survived by his wife, Lois A. (Lapeza) Whidden and by loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 2 to 4 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 4 PM, following visitation.
