Frances A. Germano
Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother

TEWKSBURY: Frances A. “Fran” (Milito) Germano, age 82, a longtime resident of the Tewksbury and Andover area, passed away at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

She was the beloved wife of well-known area builder and real estate developer, Domenic L. Germano with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.

Born in East Boston on January 25, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Milito and the late Anna (Cognata) Milito.

Fran was raised in East Boston and attended Fitton Catholic High School.

Following her wedding, Fran devoted her life to raising her three children and assisting her husband in the family business.

Fran enjoyed playing tennis at the former Northmeadow Tennis Club in Tewksbury and vacationing in Florida and at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Jodi Germano: her grandchildren, Erica Vozzella and her husband Paul, Rudy, Domenic and Joey Cataldo, Nicholas and Jillian Germano; her great grandchildren, Paul, Domenic and Joey Vozzella: her sister, Rose Owen. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Fran was the mother of the late Carmelo C. “Chuckie” Germano and Joseph D. Germano, and sister of the late Ignazio, Sal, and John Milito.

Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Rd., Andover. Entombment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Fran’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org, or mailed to 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
