HUDSON, NEW HAMPSHIRE: James E. Berthiaume, 79, of Tiffany Circle, Hudson, New Hampshire and formerly of Springfield, MA died Wednesday, October 6 at Care Dimensions Hospice, Lincoln, MA.
He leaves his sister Carol J. Samble and her husband Clifford of Hudson, New Hampshire; nephew, Brian W. of Easton, Pennsylvania; and nieces, Jennifer N. of Zionsville, Indiana and Julie D. with her family, James, Isabella, and Audrey of Bedford MA.
James was born in Worcester, MA, son of Walter C. and Leonie M. Berthiaume. He worked for the United States Postal Service for over 40 years as a clerk in the Springfield office. He was an avid history buff. He enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, family gatherings and going out for a good meal. He loved attending the Big E every year, spending several days at the fair. His nieces and nephew were his pride and joy and he attended all of their sporting events and school functions whenever he could.
The funeral will be held on Monday, October 11 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home.
