Obituary

Kevin Arthur Dubois, 68, of Centerville, passed away suddenly on October 4, 2021. He was the husband of Cynthia Corcoran Starkey Dubois.

Born in Boston, February 27, 1953, the son of the late Walter and Audrey (Newcomb) Dubois, Kevin grew up in Franklin, MA.

As a teenager in the late 1960’s he played guitar in “The Third Estate” beating the likes of Aerosmith in a battle of the bands before serving in the Army National Guard and then starting a career in Hospitality at the Jared Coffin House and the Daniel Webster Inn.

Kevin was the concessions manager and exclusive caterer at the Melody Tent in Hyannis and the Music Circus in Cohasset for 30 years. He and Cindy worked side by side at “the Tent” every Summer serving the performers and their legions of fans.

Consummate chef and party host, Kevin loved entertaining his family and friends. His Thanksgiving spread was loved by many and matched by none and his holiday parties were legendary.

Kevin loved and pampered his English Springer Spaniels, Bailey and Maya. He loved dining out and traveling with Cindy, especially to Hawaii.

In addition to his wife he was the father of Kevin A. Dubois, Jr. and his wife Erica of Scituate; Step-father of Andrew Starkey and his wife Ashley of Brookline, New Hampshire, and James Starkey of Brighton.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua Dubois and Brooke Dubois.

He was the brother of the Walter Dubois, Jr. of Haverhill and Donna Whelan of Reading.

There will be no funeral services at this time. A Celebration of Kevin’s Life is planned for Spring 2022.
