FALL RIVER… Maria C. (Carneiro) Pacheco, 71, of Fall River passed away October 6, 2021, at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center with her family by her side.
She was the loving wife of Jose M. Pacheco to whom she had been married for 51 years.
Born in St. Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Carvalho Carneiro and Maria Jose (Diogo) Carneiro.
Mrs. Pacheco had worked for many years as a Machine Operator for the former Clearview Pillow. She had a passion for working and baking but her true love was spending time with her ever-growing family.
Along with her husband, survivors include her children: Peter Mare of Ontario, CA, Dina Docarmo of New Bedford, Maria DeCosta of Fall River, Nuno Mare of Ontario, CA and Jeffrey Pacheco of Fall River, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 10 AM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA 02723 followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 8 AM – 10 AM, prior to the service.
