Obituary

Ross S. “Buddy” Woolford 80 of Wrentham, passed away peacefully, Monday October 4, 2021 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Linda D. (Munroe) Woolford, who died in 2003.

Born November 16, 1940, in Woonsocket, RI a son of the late Herbert S. and Barbara E. (Ross) Woolford, he was a longtime resident of Wrentham.

He was raised and educated in Wrentham and was a member of the first graduating class of King Philip Regional High School in 1958.

Ross worked for the former Wrentham State School for over 31 years as a direct care aide.

A proud American he served in the United States Army, he attained the rank of SP4 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in April 1962.

Ross enjoyed spending time with his family, walking, singing karaoke and summer vacations in Truro, Cape Cod.

He was a member of the Retired State County and Municipal Employees Association.

He is survived by his children, Pamela D. Guzzetti and her husband Ralph of Franklin, Jason M. Woolford and his wife Wendi of Mashpee, Kristin A. Genoa of Uxbridge, siblings, Stephen Woolford of Wrentham and Jane Hermsdorf of New Boston, NH.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jillian Guzzetti, Dominick Genoa, Lindsay Genoa & Victor Woolford.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service Friday Oct. 15th, at Center Cemetery, Wrentham at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the American Stroke Association PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
