Jon Gant Kangas, 51, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, October 2, 2021, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 3 PM, Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Kangas was born May 14, 1970, in Houston, Texas, to Janice D. Swords and Jon M. Kangas. He graduated high school in Sanford, Florida and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. He worked as a chef at several local restaurants.
He is survived by his mother, Janice D. Swords & Eddie Gosney of Fitzgerald; his father, Jon Kangas of Wisconsin; a sister, Jodi Wilson of Fitzgerald; and four nephews: Matthew Kangas, Bleu Wilson, Gray Wilson, and Eli Kangas.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Helen & Larry Swords and an aunt Janet Willingham.
