Wilhelmina "Billie" (Arruda) Gauthier, 82, of Mattapoisett died April 11, 2006 at Sippican Healthcare Center after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Theodore A. Gauthier.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Manuel and Deolinda (Jordan) Arruda, she lived in Fairhaven most of her life before moving to her daughter's home in Mattapoisett in 1987.
Mrs. Gauthier was a former communicant of St. Mary's Church in Fairhaven.
She was formerly employed as a secretary at John Hancock Insurance for several years and also at Cherry's and Saltmarsh's for several years.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Karen J. Davidson of Nottingham, N.H. and Joanne M. Collyer and her husband Craig of Mattapoisett; a sister, Belmira Hartford of Port Charlotte, FL; 3 grandchildren, Robert A. Davidson, Jr., and his wife Jennifer, of Nottingham, NH, Selectman Jordan C. Collyer, and his wife Jessica, of Mattapoisett and Hillary J. Collyer of Riverside, RI; 1 great-grandson, Alexander Davidson.
She was the sister of the late Mary Campos, Alice Braz, Antone Arruda, Linda Motta, Manuel Arruda, Jr. and Irene Silvia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt.6), Mattapoisett, Tuesday, April 18th at 10:30 AM.
Visiting hours Monday, April 17th from 4-7 PM.
Interment Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
