Robert S. Burke
Beloved husband, father and grandfather
SEABROOK, NH: Robert S. “Bob” Burke, age 66, a resident of Seabrook, NH for the past 7 years, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away at home on Monday, September 27, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Teresa E. (Robinson) Burke. Dad to Rachel, Ryan, and Rachel’s husband Bobby, and Papa to Caleb and Maren.
Born in Norwood on October 14, 1954, he was the son of the late John Burke and the late Helen (Cleary) Burke.
Prior to his retirement, Bob was employed by the Hobart Corporation, where he worked as a Service Advisor. He enjoyed his work immensely, and made many lifelong friends.
In his spare time, Bob enjoyed reading, saltwater fishing, and walking his dog Logan. In addition, Bob loved working on all types of home improvement projects, and prided himself with having the greenest lawn in the neighborhood. Bob was the epitome of a “handyman”, and was always willing to help people with their various projects. However, he most enjoyed being “Papa” to his grandchildren, supplying ample lollipops and ice cream with each family visit. He was a loving, loyal, generous family man.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Rachel B. Crouse and her husband Robert of West Boylston: two grandchildren, Caleb and Maren Crouse both of West Boylston: his siblings, Joan Burke of Plainville, John Burke of Charlotte, NC, and Helen McNeil of Worcester.
Bob was the father of the late Ryan M. Burke and brother of the late Maryellen Dudley.
Family and friends are invited to meet at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 4th, at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury for his funeral Mass. Interment of his ashes to follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Fisher House Boston at www.fisherhouseboston.org
