Carl Henry Helms, 57, of Brookfield passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at his residence. A visitation will be held for Mr. Helms from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Helms will be laid to rest at a private ceremony.
Born December 19, 1963, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mr. Helms was the son of the late George Hoyt Helms, Sr. and Beverly “The Pool Lady” Helms. He was retired and of the Baptist faith. He loved working in his yard and he dearly loved his two dogs, Georgia and Ella. He enjoyed vacationing at the beach with his family.
Mr. Helms is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Don Bruner of Brookfield; one brother and sister-in-law, George Hoyt, Jr. and Nancy Helms of Lenox; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa Jean and Keith Futch of Eldorado and Buffy Jo and Larry Giles of Bel Air, Maryland; four grandchildren, Adrien Bruner, Owen Bruner, Jared Bruner and Lexi Bruner; and one great-granddaughter, Amelia Grace.
