Ruth E. Sweet, of Breakheart Hill Road, West Greenwich, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Alpine Nursing Home in Coventry. Ruth would have celebrated her 98th birthday in October. She was the widow of Warren E. Sweet who died in 2009.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Martha (Hill) Graichen. She had lived in West Greenwich for 68 years before moving to Coventry.
Ruth worked as a nurse at Kent Hospital in Warwick before her retirement. She was a member of Summit Baptist Church in Greene for many years.
Ruth is survived by her children: Jean Perkins of North Carolina, Paul Sweet and Peter Sweet, both of West Greenwich and James Sweet of Missouri.
Her funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Summit Baptist Church, 1176 Victory Highway, Greene, RI 02827
