Obituary

E. Herbert "Herb" Casperson, 93 of Putnam Pike in Greenville died Tuesday, April 11 at the Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville. He was the husband of Elizabeth D. “Dot” (Shanks) Casperson. They were married for 72 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Emil and Annie M. (Erickson) Casperson. He lived in North Scituate before moving to Smithfield.
Mr. Casperson was a Navy veteran of WWII. A banker for 40 years until retiring, he was Sr. Vice President of the former RI Hospital TrustBank. He was an avid Red Sox fan and loved bowling. He was an honorary member of the Anawan Club, Rehoboth, MA.
Besides his wife, he leaves two grandsons, Ralph F. and Steven D. DelSanto and two great grandchildren, Michael and Christine DelSanto. He was the father of the late Carol A. DelSanto.
His funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00am in the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Friday 9:00-10:00am. Burial with military honors will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
