Gail Patricia Payson, 72, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Maple Leaf HealthCare Center, Manchester. She was born in Manchester on November 9, 1948, a daughter of William Earnshaw and Mary Ryan.
She worked for many years as a cook, something she loved to do, at several nursing homes before moving to Maine and working as a cook for several more years before retiring with her husband Ronald. She returned to Manchester in 2013 after the passing of her beloved husband Ronald Payson.
She is survived by her son, Ronald J. Payson, Jr. of Derry, NH; three daughters, Melissa Ann Devoe of Derry, Patricia Ann Payson of Ontario, OR, and Virginia Jean Conner of Londonderry, NH; five grandchildren, Justin Devoe, Marissa Devoe, Amanda Devoe, Lindsey Devoe and Jayla Conner; five great-grandchildren; Haley, Peyton, Klohe, Nova Quinn and Hadley Megan, two brothers, Mickey McCarthy of Derry and Dennis McCarthy of Laconia, NH; her sister, Sharon Vantine of Colchester, VT as well as several nieces and nephews.
