Obituary



Flora A. (Montalbano) Spinale, lifelong resident of Medford and Melrose, passed away on Saturday, September 25th. She was 90. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph P. and Anna (DeSaro) Montalbano.

Flora loved cooking for her family, especially on the holidays. Her Italian delicacies were made from scratch and were absolutely delicious. She loved to see her family gathered around the kitchen table. When Flora was not cooking, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whom she was crazy about. Flora was a devoted mother the best Grammy, Nana, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.

Flora was the devoted mother of Stephen Spinale and his wife Maria of Malden, Richard Spinale of Melbourne, FL, Dawn Anderson of San Diego, CA, Robert Spinale and his wife Cathy of Winthrop, and daughter in-law Denise Beudreau of Malden. She was the loving Grammy of Regina Bertolaccini and her husband David, Theresa Spinale, Ben Spinale and Jessica Anecone and her husband Joe. She was the caring great Nana of Jeremy, Zachary, Adria and Jade. She was the loving companion of the late John Mainzi. She is he dear sister of the late Josephine Kane, Ann Montalbano and John Montalbano. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Flora will be conducted in the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, October 8th, at 12 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from 10 AM to 12 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Flora’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959
