Edward James "Jamie" Stearns, IV, 19, of Marion died Sunday April 9, 2006 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was the son of Nancy E. (Guindon) and Edward J. Stearns III.
Born in Concord, he lived in Sudbury before moving to Marion eight years ago.
Jamie was presently a student in his sophomore year at UMass-Dartmouth. He was a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School.
He was employed as an electronics manager for West Marine on Popes Island. His passions were sportfishing, skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends.
His loved ones include his parents; a brother, Nicholas and a sister, Caileigh, both of Marion; his grandparents, June F. Wilson of Centerville and J. Henry and Helen P. Guindon of Mashpee; 16 aunts and uncles; and 21 cousins.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday April 14, 2006 at 10 AM in Wickenden Chapel, Tabor Academy, Marion. Visiting hours will be at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett on Thursday April 13, 2006 from 3-8 PM. A private family burial service will be held in Old Landing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Sippican Lands Trust, 589 Mill St., Marion, MA 02738.
