Joan R. (Armstrong) Kuzirian, 89, of Tewksbury, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late, George Kuzirian Sr. who passed away in April of 2018 after 65 years of marriage.
She was born on October 11,1931 in Chelsea was a daughter of the late William F. Armstrong and the late Theresa (Constanza) Armstrong. She grew up in Chelsea and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1950.
She worked at John Hancock Insurance in Boston for many years, and also worked at Dynamic Research Corporation in Wilmington and for Car Fastener in Wilmington and Addison Wesley Publishing Company in Reading.
After her marriage to George, they lived in Chelsea and in 1961, moved to Tewksbury to raise their family. They were members of St. Dorothy’s community.
Joan and George were frequent visitors to the Tewksbury Senior Center, attending most dances, and enjoying Ballroom dancing together. She loved to spend time camping with her family. Joan’s favorite leisure - time activity was spending time with her family, especially with grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the love of her life.
She is survived by her children, Joan Raposo of Dracut, Susan Amarante of Chelmsford, George Kuzirian Jr., of Kingston, NH, Doreen True and her husband William True 3rd of Lowell: Eight grandchildren: Ten great-grandchildren; and was predeceased by a son, John P. Kuzirian. She leaves her Sister, Jeri Babson of Lynn.
