Obituary

Al Cook, 84, of Ventura, passed away on Monday night, September 20, 2021 after a long, courageous battle with Dementia/Parkinson's.
Al was born on July 1, 1937 in Walnut Park, California and was a Ventura County Resident for the past 78 years. After 4 years of service in the United States Navy, Al worked as a Welder for Ventura Tool Company, and later for OST Truck and Crane.
Al also worked in sales and service for Cook Stabilizers and LOR Oil Tool Company. He was a gifted Craftsman who worked in both Metal and Wood and made beautiful Metal Sculptures.
Al is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joanne Cook; his daughter, Lorri Cox and her husband, Rick, of Ventura; his sons: Charles Cook and his wife, Monica, of Simi Valley, and Bill Cook and his wife Kathy, of Ventura; his brother: Don Cook, of Ventura; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Helen Cook.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive at Telegraph Road. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 11:00 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Al with a memorial donation to the Parkinson's Disease Association.
