David Truesdale Hunt
Founder of Hunt Associates
TEWKSBURY: David Truesdale Hunt, age 91, a resident of Tewksbury for over 60 years, formerly of Stoneham and Medford, passed away at his home in the care of his family and hospice on Monday, September 20, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Louise K. (Russo) Hunt, who passed away on November 21, 2014.
Born in Medford on September 7, 1930, he was the son of the late Everett C. Hunt and the late Anna (Truesdale) Hunt.
David was raised in Stoneham and graduated from Stoneham High School.
In 1951, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War Era aboard the USS Vulcan.
Following his active-duty military service, David entered Northeastern University, where he received his B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
David worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Sylvania and Teledyne Companies until 1970, when he founded Hunt Associates, which he operated until his retirement in 1995.
He enjoyed many activities including snowmobiling, travel with his late wife in their R.V. to Crystal River, Florida, and restoring his Ford Model T and Ford Model A automobiles. In addition, he was actively involved in historic preservation and was a member of the Tewksbury Historical Society.
David is survived by three daughters, Carolyn “Lyndy” Fallica and her husband Michael, of Reading, Lisa Decker, of Londonderry, NH, and Donna Dickenson, of Londonderry, NH: four grandchildren, Robert, Nicole, Brian and Amy. He also leaves six great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to his calling hours on Tuesday, Sept 28, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Graveside services at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring his memory may be made to the Tewksbury Historical Society, P.O.
