On Sunday, September 19, 2021, Joao L. Branco loving brother and uncle to many children, passed away at the age of 65 unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Joao was born on May 17, 1956 in Mosteiros, San Miguel, Azores to The late Francisco F. and Luisa (Couto) Branco. He came to Fall River at the age of 12 in 1968 with his Father, Mother and Brother.
Mr. Joao Branco was a floor boy for Princess House Glass for 20 years and enjoyed what he did. Joao Branco’s passion in life was Fishing, he also enjoyed crossword puzzles, kicking back with a cold one and spending time with his close friends/family.
He was known for his sense of humor, his infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
He is Survived by his younger brother Francisco M. Branco, Sr. His sister in law Maria S. Branco of Fall River, He also leaves behind 4 nieces, 1 nephew and 12 great nieces/nephews who all loved him so deeply.
Services to which relatives and friends are welcome to say their goodbyes to a wonderful soul loved by many will be held at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St, Fall River MA on Monday September 27, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Calling hours will be held Monday from 9- 11 AM, prior to the service.
Interment will be directly after in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Fall River, MA.
