Januario P. de Medeiros, 67, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 19th, 2021 surrounded by family. He was the husband of Regina F. (de Oliveira) de Medeiros.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, son of the late Francisco and Maria (Da Luz) Medeiros, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Januario loved solving puzzles, watching western movies, wrestling and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of the Horseneck Holy Ghost Society for many years.
Survivors include his wife; his daughters, Kelly Vieira and her husband Victor and their daughter Makayla of New Bedford, and Michelle de Medeiros and her partner Kevin Copeland of New Bedford; his brothers, Joe Medeiros and Fernando Medeiros; a sister, Filomena Cordeiro; two nieces, Kelsey and Kendra Fillip; a sister-in-law, Connie Fillip; and many other relatives.
The public is invited to his Funeral Mass on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, Acushnet. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
