Meredith-Priscilla Delphine Sheehan, 88, of 19 NH Route 104, formerly of 9 Sargent Place, Gilford, died Monday morning, April 10, 2006 at Golden View Health Care Center in Meredith.
Born in Lynn, MA on October 6, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Margaret (Desmond) Miller. Priscilla was raised and schooled in Lynn, MA, graduating from Lynn English High School. She had lived in Lynn, MA for many years, moving to Gilmanton, NH in 1974, and then moving to Gilford in 1991, making Meredith her home for the past 5 years.
Priscilla was employed by General Electric in Lynn, MA as a Bookkeeper for many years. She also worked as a Floral Assistant and Bookkeeper at Welch’s Floral Shop also in Lynn, MA.
Priscilla was a former communicant of St. Joseph Church in Lynn, MA where she was very active in the Ladies Sodality, the CCD program, and the Campfire Girls. She was also active in many PTA’s throughout Lynn. She was a member of AARP, and an officer within the Lakes Region Chapter and participating with its bowling league.
Her husband William C. Sheehan predeceased her in 1994.
Three daughters, Patricia Costa and her husband Albert of Hanover, MA, Cilla Sheehan and her husband David Roth of Bristol, NH, and Polly Richard and her husband Robert of Hudson, NH survive Priscilla.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday April 12, 2006 at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont at 9:00 am. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn, MA at 1:00 pm. A visitation will preceded the Mass from 8:00-8:30 am at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia. Family and friends were invited to attend.
