Mrs. Gertrude Constantino, age 82, died at home, Saturday April 8, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Born in Somerville, Gertrude was the beloved daughter of the late Marie (Colletti) & Salvatore Bianchino. Gertrude was the beloved wife of the late Bartolemevo John Constantino.
Gertrude has been a Medford resident for the last 53 years. She was very active in Medford PTA, Santa Maria Lodge, and Son´s of Italy. Gertrude was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. Gertrude most enjoyed cooking at large family gatherings and spending time with her 6 grandchildren. She worked in the office for the Schrafft´s Co., Barker Steel of Medford and Warner Bros. Studio´s, retiring in 1988 at the age of 65.
In addition to her parent´s and husband, Gertrude is survived by her devoted children, Gene Constantino of Marblehead and Susan Constantino of Medford. Loving grandmother of John, Cara, Alex and Luke Constantino, Donna and Valarie Giangregorio. Sister of Generosa Aiello of Peabody, Ida Giunta of Cambridge and the late Guy and Daniel Bianchino. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Gertrude´s memory to Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Rd., Malden, MA 02148.
