DUDLEY – Edward J. Devlin, 94, of 1 Mill St., died Friday, April 7, in Webster Manor after an illness.
His wife of 65 years, E. Virginia (Paranto) Devlin, died in November, 2005.
He leaves a son, Mark E. Devlin and his wife Jane of Dudley; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester, a son of Joseph and Catherine (McCormack) Devlin, and attended schools in Fitchburg.
Mr. Devlin first worked at Deary Brothers here. He then worked in the maintenance department at the Worcester County Court House, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church and the Worcester Country Retirement Association.
A memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 22, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in his name may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church Memorial Fund, 24 Dudley Hill Road, PO Box 277, Dudley, MA 01571-0277. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St.,Webster.
