BETTIE V. (SIDEBOTTOM) HATCH, age 88, died on Sunday, April 9th at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a brief illness. Mrs. Hatch was born in Lowell and was raised in Milton, graduating from Milton High School. She came to Hingham in 1940 and was the secretary for many many years for the Leo Dauphinais Plumbing & Heating Co. of Hingham. Mrs. Hatch was a very active member of the Church of St. John the Evangelist in Hingham and was a past president of the Hingham Mothers' Club.
Wife of the late C. Henry Hardwick, 2nd and the late Bela E. Hatch, she leaves her children; C. Henry Hardwick, 3rd of New Tazewell, TN, Nancy M. Hardwick of Addison, VT, Peter A. Hardwick of Palmyra, ME, Patricia A. Wilson and Arlene E. Hatch Magner both of Hingham. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, April 22nd at 11 AM at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 172 Main St., Hingham, MA 02043.
Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Church of St. John the Evangelist.
The interment is to be private.
