Obituary

Anthony J. Baleno passed away peacefully at the Soldiers Home in Chelsea on September 12, 2021. He was 99 years old.

Anthony was a longtime resident of Malden and Everett. He was a United States Navy Veteran during World War II and a Purple Heart Recipient.

Anthony was the husband of the late Doris T. (D’Antilio) Baleno. He was the loving father of Richard Baleno of Billerica and father in-law of Kirsten Baleno of Peabody. Anthony was the brother of the late John Baleno and his surviving wife Josephine Baleno of CA. He was the brother in-law of Joyce D’Antilio of Malden and her late husband Paul. Anthony was the cherished grandfather of Teresa Baleno, Ashley Bremberg and her husband Ryan of Melrose, and Jennifer Marino Killion and her husband Brian of Peabody, and great grandfather of Teagan Killion. He was the dear uncle of Susan D’Antilio, Paul D’Antilio Jr., Karen Bogdan and her husband Dave, Peter Baleno, David Baleno, Peter Worth, and the late John Allen Baleno.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a service for Anthony at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 175 Broadway, Malden on Friday September 17th at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers donations in Anthony’s memory may be made to the Soldiers Home in Chelsea, 91 Crest Ave., Chelsea, MA 02150.
